Lexagle's native eSignature solution allows you to sign on the go while ensuring that your documents remain secure and your signatures remain compliant with digital eSignature regulations. In this article, we will guide you through a signing request with 3 steps:

  • Receiving a Signing Request

  • Signing a document on Lexagle

  • Completing a signing request

Important: To view and sign documents on Lexagle, you must agree to conduct business electronically! For more information on the legality of eSignatures, do refer to lexagle.com.

Receiving a Signing Request

After someone on Lexagle sends you a Signing Request, you will first receive an email from Lexagle sent on behalf of the sender. The email will contain:

  1. The name of the sender (of the signing request)

  2. The name of the document that is sent for signature

  3. Due date of the signing request (if applicable)

  4. Message from the sender (if applicable)

  5. Link to signing the document

Once you have read through the signing request, click View Agreement to begin the signing process. You will be routed to Signing Room by Lexagle to get started with your signing request.

You will need to Agree to Lexagle's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy in order to Proceed.

In the event that you are registered to Lexagle and have an existing account (under the same email address that the preparer sent the signing request to), you will be prompted to Log In As Signatory instead.

You will be required to log in before you are allowed to view the document.

Signing a document on Lexagle

Once you have successfully viewed the document, do ensure that you have fully read through the document before signing it. Depending on your preparer, there will be various options enabled for you to help you complete the signing process.

If your preparer has not placed signing fields, you will be required to place the signing fields accordingly to complete the signing process.

Otherwise, if your preparer has already prepared the document, you will be able to complete the signing request by simply filling in all the fields assigned to you.

  1. You can easily view all the fields assigned to you in 1.

  2. You can also choose to Sign All if the document's preparer has enabled this for you. Alternatively, you can easily skip to the signatory fields required within the document, or opt to Clear All Signatures on the document.

These options are also enabled for the Initial field, and you will also be able to Initial All or Clear All Initials on the document.

  3. You will need to complete all mandatory fields required before you will be allowed to Confirm and Sign. Alternatively, if the details of the document are incorrect, you can also opt to Decline Signing.

For Initial & Signature Fields

For each of the Signatory & Initial fields, you can generate your Signatory / Initial either by:

  1. Typing, and choosing from our 6 default fonts

  2. Uploading your own signature / initial

  3. Drawing your own signature / initial

Completing a Signing Request

Once you have finished filling in all the necessary fields and click Confirm & Sign, a pop-up will appear confirming that you consent to do business electronically and to be bound by this signature.

Once you have successfully completed signing, this pop-up will appear indicating that your signature has been successfully applied to the document. Once all the required signatories have completed signing the document, you will receive a final signed copy of the document in your email, or via the Signing Room if you are a registered Lexagle user.
